Front Office Manager
Job Description
The Front Office Manager at Merete Hotel Management oversees the day to day operations of the Front Desk with a focus on guest service excellence, safety, and procedure adherence. This onsite role is based in Springfield, Oregon.
Compensation
Salary: USD 45,000 - 47,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Front Desk to ensure smooth service and efficiency.
- Ensure Front Desk Agents receive comprehensive training in guest service, safety, and front desk procedures.
- Manage staff processes including selection, training, supervision, development, scheduling, discipline, and counseling in line with hotel policies.
- Comply with predictive scheduling laws and regulations.
- Conduct performance appraisals for team members.
- Demonstrate leadership that motivates the team to meet or exceed standards.
- Enforce the company handbook and applicable employment laws in a fair manner.
- Monitor payroll hours and related reporting.
- Prepare and review reports such as forecasts, budgets, and action plans; align objectives for sales, costs, profits, guest satisfaction, and associate performance.
- Schedule and lead departmental meetings and participate in others as needed.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Report unsafe working conditions promptly.
- Ensure property operations comply with audit standards.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance as essential functions of the role.
- Foster a respectful, positive, and collaborative work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Proficiency with computers and keyboard operations.
- Cash handling experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record may be required.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
