Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping tasks across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness and sanitation to hotel standards
• Inspire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest-focused service
• Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality control and adherence to health regulations
• Monitor supplies and equipment inventory, manage chemicals and cleaning agents, and ensure safe handling per SDS and protocols
• Supervise safe operation of cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial tools; assign or perform heavy lifting as required
• Implement hotel sanitation and safety emergency procedures; respond promptly to guest cleanliness requests or concerns
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, incident reports, safety checks, and staff performance evaluations

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial roles within hospitality
• Strong knowledge of floor care including cleaning, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning methods
• Familiarity with chemical handling safety, SDS understanding, and proper chemical handling protocols
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely in accordance with safety standards
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guests and team members
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards applicable to hospitality environments
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage custodial teams effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas
