Job Description

At Loews Philadelphia Hotel, the Restaurant Server role supports a welcoming, high-quality dining experience in an onsite setting in Philadelphia, PA. This part-time position focuses on attentive table service, accurate order delivery, and the kind of hospitality that helps guests feel taken care of from the first greeting to the final check-in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and present menus confidently
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, including dietary preferences
  • Serve orders efficiently while ensuring quality and presentation
  • Check back with guests throughout their visit to confirm satisfaction
  • Process payments accurately using POS systems
  • Maintain thorough menu knowledge and provide recommendations when requested
  • Relay guest needs or special requests to the kitchen or bar
  • Keep tables and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and properly stocked
  • Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties
  • Support team members to maintain timely, coordinated service
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed
  • Maintain regular attendance in line with company standards
  • Be available to work varying schedules based on business needs
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40-50 pounds as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with POS systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
